Automotive fitment is the answer to a basic shopper question: will this part fit my vehicle? Producing a dependable answer requires more than placing a year range in a product title. The system must connect the part to the exact vehicle configurations where the match is valid.

Each selection narrows the vehicle

Year, Make, and Model can still describe several different vehicles. Engines, drivetrains, body styles, trims, and production changes may all affect compatibility. Engine is especially important for many mechanical and electrical parts, but it is not always the final qualifier.

A good fitment record preserves those relationships instead of flattening them into one long product name.

Notes can change the result
